They are my guess for why this image has a relatively low score.
Yeah, some people avoid filtering and then are upset at things they don’t like. I don’t get it. Proper filtering would solve the downvote problem, but of course not the lack of attention problem.

OC, red+black, heterochromia, looks like a maniac.
You list all those like they’re bad things.
Personally I love OCs more than canon, and I’m not into solo female or straight or lesbian stuff at all, so you can imagine how much pain I endure here just looking at new images. I should really contribute more stuff I like, but it’s hard to feel encouraged to do so when people downvote those topics all the time and rarely give them attention.

If we are talking about low quality, time limiting uploads doesn’t solve this problem either, only discourages it. The main cause is people who generate but don’t edit. If they pick the best of the set and move to generating something else, that’s a partial win. If they just spread their uploads over time, that is arguably even worse.
If we are talking about uploading multiple images with the same theme, image sets could help.

Art style is like early fandom. For me it’s nostalgic but maybe other people don’t like it. Also, sadly stallions don’t get enough love.
I like it. Both characters show emotion. There’s a windswept mane, indicating speed. Style is a bit too AI IMHO.
Personally I don’t like this type of character design, so I can’t judge this image fairly.
OC, red+black, heterochromia, looks like a maniac.
Edgy color scheme & painted flames. When edgy look is combined with weapons, armor and mask, it greatly increases the perceived edginess. Even the image number is edgy. :P
IDK, perhaps people also found it too edgy? But I think it would get more upvotes if it was a popular character. It would also help to make it clearer that it’s supposed to be Dragon Ball Z.
Mangled cutie mark. People probably thought it’s an OC. The part about stallions also applies.

Not really. It would still dump pics with errors or lacking in general quality onto the site. With AI, you take the factor time nearly out of the equation. Normally an artist can maybe publish one full pic (colored, shaded, the whole 9 yards) once a week (depending on time they have to work on it). I can get a pic up to snuff in a few hours. Professionals, people with art skills and a decent setup, probably even faster. So art limited itself in the past, by taking time. Quality = Time, but not with AI.
I say for AI this limit should be Quality. I don’t mean is it good artistic, but it is free of errors, are the details clear and so on. Stuff you can measure, since “art” is subjective. Yes, you can’t force people to stick to these standards, but you can say: “If that is what you want to publish, do it somewhere else.” There is a reason why most other sites have strict rules and upload limits.

@Meta_Void
MLP is all about characters. People care about them.
That’s just a pony transforming into a timberwolf. This concept was done many times. Would get more upvotes if it had some story, not just a transformation sequence.
Not bad, but not super interesting either. It’s just a fight and not a very dynamic looking one.
This is notable mostly for its technical merit.
That’s a reasonably good OC design. It doesn’t show any character traits though. Not to mention people care about ponies more than they do about dragons.
Good idea, execution could be better. Square books, text artifacts… I still upvoted it though.
Should I go on?

If Philomena had a feature for image sets, it would partially solve this problem (as well as the problem of regular artists posting one image with multiple different variations).

A daily download limit seems reasonable. But it’s kind of sad… I mean, if restrictions and limits seem like the only solution.

Something of an artist
@truekry
Yeah, I also think some daily upload limit would be a good idea and should improve the upload quality, preventing the spam of nearly identical pictures. As for the anthro, I just wish people would remember to tag it every time.

The problem is, how to “enforce” that. If you make a “rule” to only post the best results, people will go “Oh, all my stuff is goat.” And then there is the issue that most users frankly, don’t care. Pictures with massive errors get voted to the high heavens because of lewd. Also, from what I have been told, most users don’t even go and look at the full pictures, only the previews and vote from there. So most quality issues go unnoticed.
My personal solution, would be to limit uploads to like 3 for every 24h. This is more than enough imho. Select your best of the best and upload that.
@Background Pony #3FCE
I have to agree that in the last months, the ratio of pony/anthro shifted hard. It is way more anthro these days than half a year ago. Maybe because uploaders left, maybe because new users like that more. Who knows. But like Meta_Void said, that what filters are for.

I would rather complain about straight-from-generator images with obvious errors that no one bothers to fix.
Like this. It’s not so hard to fix at least the cutie mark, just get appropriate png from the internet.
I honestly believe the spamming happens (and will keep on) because people who do it thinks every generated image is worth posting since it looks not too bad. I kinda had similar thoughts when I just started generating, I was thinking like “this generated picture doesn’t look too bad, I don’t want to throw it away”.
It’s reasonable when it comes to human-made art because each artwork takes a lot of efforts and it might be too hard to discard even a failed piece. But this is becomes a bad habit when it comes to AI art.

If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization, wings, and spread wings would all be found by a search for wing, but sewing would not be.
