I was aware that their was a type of food/cuisine called Poke. Didn’t quite remember it was Hawaiian. Do remember seeing such a restaurant, and going into to investigate if it was Pokemon themed (which would have been weird), which, of course, it wasn’t. That experience, however, was the seed of the joke I made (and then added a bunch of world-building to, because: permanently unemployed mechanical engineer with a creative bent).

Wow. That was….quite the detailed fan theory, Draco Dei. Though it doesn’t really explain what the ‘Pokeats’ is supposed to be (unless you are implying that ‘pokeats’ is what Pokemon can eat, I guess).

My fanon: This is actually in the Pokemon universe. The chain started a place that specialized in serving owners/trainers alongside their Pokemon. Over time it became popular with non-Pokemon owners. This is especially true fro non-humans, as each branch is required by franchise policy to keep a very wide variety of seating adjustments. For example they WOULD keep a large variety of high-chair-like devices, except that they instead put wide-range height adjusters (like one might find on an office chair, but with a larger range of lengths) on all the seating. They also have perches for avians, tubs with one flat edge that goes right up to the table for aquatic or those ammorphous individuals who prefer more support than a flat surface. High temperature brick enclosures next to similarly-surfaced tables allow Fire Types to relax fro! than the constant care they must otherwise engage in to keep from burning people or starting fires. Large pots of soil serve as both seating and part of the food for Plant types who like to temporarily root.

Ghost types find their incoporeal ectoplasm shakes to be so tasty, that the mere mention of them as a reward for good performance has (very rarely) been known to restore move uses.

Ignore the fact that the menu board in the back says ‘Pokeats’. This is very much an ice cream store, not a poke restaurant. Nothing to see here, nope.

Anyway, this is adorable. I will always love seeing more of Pipette and Burette together. I love how this shared universe is coming along.

I see the evil of the creator knows no bounds. Both of them are about to get brain freeze.
