My gut is saying no, but logically they very well could.

What I CAN be sure of is that if they DON’T morph, then Pony versions of most tools and many weapons will be produced.

EDIT: I was assuming full diplomatic contact and entirely legal trade and travel, rather than smuggling as the source of what we see here.

Will the human tools smuggled through the portal morph to adjust to equine users too?

… well, dad IS a military Stallion, and mom enjoys a good scrap. So if Twilight brings in some human technology through the portal, I can see her joining wargames this young!

Especially since while they might restrict the ages of who is allowed to ENLIST, the nature of cutie-marks means denying access to military TRAINING to foals from the day they get their marks would be seem to me to be stifling talent for no real reason. And even if her MARK doesn’t involve combat, “With great power (that can be used for violence), comes great responsibility (to be violent when necessary).”. I wouldn’t call any of the Tetrarchy, except maybe Luna, warriors first and foremost… but it is in their top ten genres of duties.
