Though not lightning, some are close, and none were worse than pegasus on similar circumstances.
My fanon has always been that Pegasi are designed to handle lightning strikes. At least a few other writers share this opinion. Looks like she is putting that “resistance” (haha) to neutral use. GOOD use would be fixing or shutting it off herself, but she probably isn’t qualified. Maybe she had someone call it in and is waiting for them to come into sight so she can lead them to it?
